Thank You

Who is Danny?

Danny's career began innocently enough. He made leather costumes and fetish wear for himself and friends to use in their amateur theater group. Because he had a real talent for it, and because it was more fun than office work, Danny decided to do a little bit of leather work on the side.

He started by making cuffs to sell at the semi-annual Boston Fetish Fair Flea MarketTM. It was during this time that he conceived of and created the, now famous, Grip-Cuff TM. The popularity of this unique item was a pleasant surprise for Danny. It opened many doors for him, including the one that allowed him to turn what had been a hobby into a thriving business.

The first vending event which Danny attended other than the Boston Fetish Fair Flea MarketTM was Tes25. The quality of Leather By Danny products attracted the attention of merchants around the country. Many quality stores now carry LBD merchandise.

At about the same time, Danny began supplying dungeon equipment and furniture to several area clubs and organizations, such as Boston's Quest and ManRay. Soon, he was hosting events at both of these venues and eventually created a monthly bondage night at ManRay. Later, he produced and ran a monthly bondage contest at Restraints and other venues.

Danny also has a firm commitment to community activism. Towards this end Danny joined the NELA board as vendor liaison back in 1999. In addition to being vendor liaison for NELA's Fetish Fair Fleamarket, he has recently taken on the role of Internal Relations Director for NELA. To further support the National leather Community Leather By Danny has donated product to numerous not-for-profit organizations to be used in their fund raising efforts. Leather By Danny has donated to the run baskets of several leather title holders, The National Coalition For Sexual Freedom, and The Leather Archives & Museum, to name but a few. For more information about Leather By Danny's charitable giving visit our Community Page.

Thank You

I would like to thank everyone who has made this possible, from those who helped me to get my start to those who help keep my inventory well-stocked and all the people who have kept me sane (at least my version of sane).

The New England Leather Alliance, Cecilia Tan and all of the officers.

Kim Airs of Grand Opening.

"Nick the Prick" and Dennis for hosting the support group/play parties and for helping in innumerable ways.

The Fantasy Realization computer bulletin board that was hosted by Mistress Diana and Lady Bianca. Here, I met many wonderful people. Fred, Variatio, Chaosium, Margo, Margosub, Anarchy, Raithe, Lace, Leatherwife, and many more.

That bulletin board later became what is now the Boston Dungeon Society. I'd like to thank Mentor, Libby, and all those people who make BDS such a good place for new people to connect. Around the time of this transition, I came to know and would like to thank Jace, KC, Roxanne, Tony and Amanda of The Boston Phoenix's Erosphere, Dave, Eric, Randy, Sabrina, Sandy, Morganne, FDW, Substephen, Jack, Sandro, and everyone who helped with my big move into the work space I now call home.

I would also like to thank Heather (of BFP), Ramp and Susan (formerly of Restraints), and all the others who have supported and provided venues for the local BDSM community.

My appreciation is also extended to people who have helped me to present shows and other events: Nixon, Wex, Pygment, Joker, Ripper, Andy, Brian, John… And thank you to all of you who have helped me in so many ways I cannot list them here: Jess, Brian, Julia, Andy, Vanessa, Matt, Crissy, Jade, Kendall, Tanya...

Special thanks to all the organizations who run fetish events around the country and the many people I have met and have offered me their hospitality: Tracy, Mistress Midori, Joanne, Suki & Kathy, Knute & Ringo, Tes, Black Rose, and Community Ties, to name but a few.

I'd also like to thank all the leather elves and anyone else I may have inadvertently left out.
